In 1946, Antonio C. Delgado, together with brothers Jose and Francisco, introduced an innovative and enterprising concept called Caltex Floating Station, which provided a more systematic method of servicing the fuel and water requirements of ships docked in Manila Bay.  By 1949, a new company called Delgado Brothers, Inc., orDELBROS was established.

In the 50`s, DELBROS was awarded the right to operate the Port of Manila Arrastre Service. Significantly, it was also at this time that the company introduced the “pallet system” which finally mechanized operations in the Port of Manila.  The country`s first Professional Overseas Removals and Household Moving services was made available by DELBROS.

delbros-symbolIn the 60`s, DELBROS introduction of containerization elevated the quality of international cargo handling in the Philippines.  Within this decade, the company established another first: the first five star hotel in the country, The Manila Hilton.

The 70`s is characterized as a period of nationwide political, social and economic turmoil.  But this failed to slow down DELBROS`s steady expansion. DELBROSwent on to build the largest fully integrated transportation company in the Philippines, offering air, land, and sea freight forwarding service.  During the Vietnam War, DELBROS was also the country`s largest military mover.

In the 80`s, DELBROS has become the Total Transportation Company. The multi-modal concept, which it pioneered, offered door-to-door service for cargo shipments — from small letter envelopes to heavy machinery. The service capabilities of the company goes nationwide with the opening of DELBROS offices in major provincial capitals around the country.
